Quality Manager

Profile Summary: The quality manager will champion, support or lead quality improvement initiatives. 

He or she is responsible for ensuring that all managers, process owners and supervisors develop and maintain their part of the quality management system.

The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and advising on how the system is performing, which may often include the publication of statistics regarding company performance against set measures.

Job Profile
  • Ensure that the necessary processes for the QSE management system are established, implemented and maintained
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards
  • Develops quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures
  • Ensure training and sensitization for the proper functioning of the QSE system
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the QSE system through audits and site visits
  • Check that the improvement actions decided by management and processes are shared with all sites
  • Ensure handling and monitoring of nonconformities and dysfunctions
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and management of QSE indicators
  • Advise the construction teams to establish the procedures, the Quality Assurance Plan for the site and to define the quality level requirements for works.
  • Participate in the steering committee and the management review and present the QSE results (indicators, targets, improvements, blocking points ...)
  • Participate, if need be, in the analysis and response to tenders
Person Profile
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree
  • Professional qualifications in Quality Management
  • At least 5 -8  years relevant job experience three of which must be at management level
  • Experience in a construction setting is PREFERRED
  • Experience managing ISO processes and Quality management systems
