Steel Reinforcement Foreman
A Reinforcing Steel is responsible for laying out and detailing work from blueprints, sketches, and oral and written instructions. 

An employee of this class normally receives supervision from a supervisor in charge of many phases of construction
  • Monitor all activities related to cutting & bending of reinforcing steel.
  • controls Steel fixers engaged in all activities concerned with the civil works
  • Leads and supervises workers engaged in the Steel fixing of buildings and other civil works and assists the Civil supervisor in the coordination and performance or related activities such as setting out, rebar fixing, bar bending etc.
  • Receives assignments in the form of oral and written instructions, blueprints, and sketches. Work is normally reviewed in terms of timeliness of completion and conformance to established standards.
  • Ensures that work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.
  • Prevents wastage and misuse of equipment, materials and tools.
  • Supervises work crews to best utilize manpower and materials, exercises discipline at the work site to prevent absenteeism, unsafe work practices and idleness
  • At least 5 years specific experience as Foreman Steel fixer
  • Must have successfully become a master tradesman in Steel fixing field.
  • Knowledge in safety principles and practices applicable to reinforcing steel work
General Foreman – Re-Advertisement
  • Ensure respect of the schedule and efficiency of work
  • Supervise the site daily and prepare deliveries
  • Supervise the sub-contractors on site
  • Participate in the elaboration of working procedures on site
  • Manage teams and equipment
  • Organize the teams according to the tasks to be carried and take all necessary measures for the proper execution of these tasks (PPE, temporary Signage on site, SPA…)
  • Ensure the rational use of the resources available and define the extra needs if necessary with site management
  • Ensure respect of the specifications of the contract and ensure the use of approved documents and quality of the work
  • Monitor the consumption of the teams (concrete, materials etc) and the indicators of profitability of his work
  • Supervise preparation of daily reports
  • Carry out the necessary checks to ensure the quality of work and ensure the treatment of non-compliance
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper use of the equipment at his disposal
  • Min 7 years’ experience
