KICC ICT Systems Administrator Job in Kenya

The Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) was established as a State Corporation under the Tourism Act 2011 to discharge the following mandates:
 
a. Organize and host meetings and provide incentives for conferences and exhibitions at the Convention Centre

b. Develop and implement the national meetings, incentives for conferences and exhibitions strategy, in collaboration with the Tourism Board upon consultation with the relevant stakeholders
 
c. Market the Convention Centre in collaboration with the Tourism Board
 

d. And perform any other functions that are ancillary to the objectives and purpose for which the Convention Centre is established

KICC invites applications for the post as per below requirements:
 
ICT Systems Administrator (One Position)
 
Description of Key Duties:
 
KICC seeks to recruit a Systems Administrator (SA) who shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Design, implement and maintain the local area network and ensure intranet and internet availability to users
  • Trouble shoot and resolve technical issues surrounding windows server, email, hardware and peripherals
  • Antivirus installations, maintenance, upgrades, update and licensing
  • Analyze user needs and software requirements, recommend appropriate hardware and determine feasibility of software design
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the Ideal candidate will possess:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or information technology or any other ICT related discipline from a recognized university
  • Microsoft professional certification
  • Skills in ICT Project management
  • Six years system administration experience
  • Financial management skills, leadership skills, organizational skills and communication skills
  • Experience in working with Microsoft Navision will be an added advantage
