Our client, a well-established logistics company seeks to fill the following vacancies:
 
Job Title: Accountant
 
Location: Nairobi
 
Salary: KES 50,000

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records
  • Creditors and debtors accounts reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly payrolls and ensure remittance of statutory deductions
  • Proper book keeping, budget preparation and monitoring and implementing relevant controls
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
  • Oversee cash/ bank reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
  • Prepare account reconciliations and financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
  • Ensure proper records are maintained by reviewing accounts reconciliation and payment vouchers
Skills and Qualifications
  • CPA (K) finalist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be an added advantage
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and payroll management a must
  • Possess high sense of integrity and confidentiality
Job Title: Operations Officer
 
Location: Nairobi
 
Salary: KES 70,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions
  • Liaising with suppliers and other service providers
  • Supporting with ad-hoc projects and events
  • Local, international travel arrangements including flights and ground arrangements
  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
  • Ensuring that the company’s management IT system is accurately maintained and up to date – this applies to both physical and computerized documentation
  • Provide assistance in the setting up & use of computer hardware and software
  • Collation, record keeping and processing of all documents associated with customers;
  • Collecting and processing of customer payments in a timely manner
  • Managing the Accounting Administration function, which includes: reviewing the bookkeeping entries for the Accountant: customer payments, vendor invoices and payments, expense reports, petty cash
  • Issuing of statements and invoices to customers
  • Support the workings of various departments in the organization including logistics, accounting, admin, directors
  • Create all new documents, cover letters, email templates, schedules as needed
  • Facilitate coordination and communication between support function
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field,
  • At least 3 years’ experience offering executive support to various competing departments
  • Strong administrative and organization skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to juggle multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and recommend a practical response
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Supportive, inspiring and motivational team player
