Job Vacancy: Field Sales Manager

Location:
Kisumu, Kenya with regular travel around the lake basin region

Summary of Position: To support the promotion of Mwezi Limited, low cost, off-grid solar products in the Lake Basin Region of Kenya following laid down procedures as required; liaison with Regional Coordinator, Community Field Officers, Field Sales Agents, Super Agents to promote Mwezi Limited products; to coordinate sales and marketing activities and meet set monthly sales targets.

Duties and Responsibilities.
  •  Be in charge of driving all sales and marketing activities for Mwezi Limited in the Lake Victoria region.
  • To coordinate community Field Officers and Field Sales Agents in ensuring that set sales targets are met.
  • To develop a sales and marketing plan for ongoing implementation and ensure such strategies are put in place by all field officers.
  • To work together with the regional coordinator in identifying new markets and partnerships and recruit Super Agents in identified potential areas.
  • To conduct ongoing recruitment and training of Sales Agents using laid down policies, guidelines, processes and procedures
  • Training and on the job coaching of sales agents on topics including pitching, closing, and building of strong and long-lasting relationships with customers
  • Driving development and implementation of team purpose, principles and values in alignment with company purpose, principles and values.
  • Organizing and facilitating regular team meetings to develop strong sales and marketing approaches to increase sales and ensuring that sales-agent achieves monthly, weekly, and daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Carrying out periodic evaluation of the sales and marketing approaches, evaluating sales agent performance, developing and implementing plans for improvement, discussing targets achieved, strengths, weaknesses, and training plan for the identified training needs.
  • Providing weekly and monthly reports on the sales and marketing activities  progress of each site
  • Build strong and long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders such as Ward executive Officers
  • Collecting information from other departments in case of misconduct and taking appropriate action in collaboration with the regional coordinator.
  • Coordinating the procurement of marketing materials, production of radio adverts, planning road shows and other marketing activities.
  • Other duties as may be advised by line Manager.
Your Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing from a recognized institution.
  • Atleast two years’ experience in B2C sales strategies and at least 1 year in field sales management is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record in sales achievements
  • Previous experience in capacity building and training of field sales team is desired.
  • Proven ability of strong day-to-day planning and organization and Strong customer focus
  • Good team leadership and management skills
  • Willing to travel in the geographic area assigned and attend trainings/events in regional/zonal/national hubs
  • Very good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be Computer literate and with good reporting skills.
  • Fluency in the local language is a plus
