Job Title: Branch Manager in Mombasa
 
Reporting To: Operations and Training Manager

Job Grade: D
Purpose of Job: Take charge of all business & security operations in including Guard Force management, Dog Kenneling & patrol, Investigations Services, Electronic Security and Back-up services within a Branch
 
Achieve and even exceed client expectation for service provision as set out in Service Level Contracts within the Branch

Key Accountabilities
  • Manage the Alarm, Dog, Guarding, Back Up, & Investigations services within the Branch
  • Sustain the existing business and grow company business through sale of company products and services as per sales targets in existence
  • Carry out security surveys and audits for all service prior to taking up the contract and annually respectively
  • Ensure that that all service contracts for the clients are current
  • Establish, implement and review operating procedures, supervision protocol and standards of performance generally and for each Client
  • Manage security incidents and cause the investigation, draw reports and institute remedial action to address shortfalls in liaison with Operations Manager
  • On behalf of the Company collect payments in cash and / or cheques in lieu of services to be rendered or so rendered,
  • Manage assets and equipment deployed within the Branch: Control Room equipment, Response Vehicle, installation tools, all Motor Bikes, Communication Masts, two way radio sets etc
  • Carry out ‘operational’ intelligence surveillance within the Branch and escalate relevant information to the senior management team
  • Manage the human resources within the Branch in terms of discipline, performance management, in liaison with the HR Dept
  • In conjunction with HR, oversee recruitment, training, deployment of the uniformed staff
  • Provide a courteous and efficient service to both internal and external customers by actioning all enquiries accurately and quickly
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses, needs and requirements through monthly meetings
  • Attend to clients complaints 24hrs after receiving the complaint
  • Establish effective supervisory system
  • Ensure that the right number of guards of the right quality are deployed
  • Make monthly Branch returns and reports periodically and promptly as may be required from time to time
  • Keep pertinent Company records within the Branch: Personnel, Operations, Clients, attendance, Investigations
  • Have Temporary Works Order prepared and signed for new or temporary assignment before a formal contract is done
  • Meet clients and listen to their complaints and address them as necessary and document the same in the OB
  • Do any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure the right number of guards of the right qualification and training are deployed
  • Manage  client complaints within 12hrs of receiving the complaint
  • Submit daily progress reports of the branch
  • Establish regular guards inspection parade
  • Establishment of an effective supervisory system
  • Conduct of security surveys and audits
  • Collection of all outstanding debts
  • Establish, update, & maintain an accurate departmental database and records
  • Effective management of guarding operations
  • Speedy execution of all investigations and delivery of reports to the Client.
  • Weekly, Monthly, and Annual Branch Reports
  • Standard Operating Procedures for new and existing clients
  • Approve Branch Payroll Records and ensure their accuracy
  • Undertake or ensure security briefings & debriefings
Qualification Skill  and Forte
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant field
  • Advanced professional training in security in the disciplined forces
  • A high appreciation of and demonstration of customer service skills and selling skills
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Excellent people handling  & leadership skills
  • Proficient computer user skills

Work Experience: Minimum of 5 yrs experience in any disciplined forces with a senior rank or 5 years in the private security industry
 
Salary is shs.40.000.00
