Online Insurance Platform Business Development Manager Job in Kenya

Duma Works is recruiting for a Business Development Manager for one of our clients; a leading online platform for insurance in Kenya.
 
Summary: The Business Development role is responsible for generating new business from brokers and agents channel and meet the month target of the company by introducing our products and offerings to potential channel partners.
 
 
The role will also involve training these channel partners on the products we offer and an integral part of the role will be driving ongoing sales and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Key Roles
  • Establish and build relationships with channel partners like agents and brokers.
  • Be prepared to have high targets for self and channel partners.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate sales targets to the partners.
  • Help create a commission and incentive program for channel partners.
  • Co-ordinate and communicate incentives to the partners.
  • Assist brokers and agents with business queries.
  • Assist in general matters when required.
  • Ability to generate monthly reports to showcase the achievements.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Insurance industry or other financial services products (a plus).
  • Business development and marketing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with channel partners.
  • Written and oral communication.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • A motivated and self driven approach to Sales.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Computer knowledge i.e. Microsoft Office – word and excel.
Requirements
  • A Degree from a related field most preferred.
  • 2-5 years experience.
  • Good excel skills.
  • Self starter and self motivated.
