Swissport Kenya Limited is recruiting for the position of Human Resources Officer based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
 
 
We are seeking a professional with a proven track record in providing a service that delivers best practice and commercially focused HR solutions that support the business area in line with specialist HR functions.  

This person will be part of a highly dynamic team charged with ensuring support to managers, coordinating and administering a variety of programs and activities covering multiple HR activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • HR partnership with the business in order to engrain and promote the HR strategy in line with the business strategy.
  • Embedding and communicating the HR policies in the organization.
  • Embed a high performance culture in order to improve performance.  Participate and assist in ensuring that mid and annual staff appraisals are carried out.
  • Manages recruitment and selection of employees, plans and conducts new employee orientation and induction processes and ensures job descriptions, performance agreements are issued for all new staff, ensuring the talent cycle is well managed.
  • Undertake internal customers and stakeholder engagements and resolve all HR related matters.
  • Monitor closure of HR business partnership issues arising from HR Audits and Employee Surveys.
  • Assist and actively monitor leave management of all staff.
  • Responsible for delivering Employee & Industrial Relations to the business (knowledge of legislative and consequent impact on the company, relationships with shop stewards/unions, government/regulatory bodies, etc.
  • Ensure the maintenance of up-to-date human resources records and statistics.
  • Carry out HR data analysis and management reporting.
  • Resolve internal customer queries, conflicts and complaints (HR help desk issues/telephone calls, walk- in customers).
  • Maintain payroll information by directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data and update payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, deductions, promotions, and department transfers and preparing required reports.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business/Social Science.
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and ability to work with HRMIS systems.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in generalist HR role.
