Head of Sales & Marketing Career Opportunity at a FMCG Manufacturing Company

Our client, one of the leading manufacturing companies in Kenya is looking for Head of Sales and Marketing to join their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities: To develop & implement functional strategies aligning with company’s strategies, achieve operational targets (volume, values, collections etc.) for existing & new products across the spectrum of customers & consumers
  • Developing route to market strategies.
  • Maintain business relationship with current customers and prospective customer to generate new business for the variety of products and services offered by the company.
  • Defining market competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses.
  • Forecasting projected business and establish targeted market share.
  • Improve product marketability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities.
  • Assume overall responsibility for developing the annual marketing plan for the organization, market research programs; field activities, and control of the marketing budget.
  • Align the sales processes to bring in more efficiency with the ground team and hence achieve better results.
  • Branding Building.
  • Drive sales and marketing campaigns and activities of the sales department to enhance sales volume and execute within approved budget and timelines.
  • Monitor monthly and quarterly activities of the sales team to ensure that targets are achieved and market potential is realized
  • Implement the sales and marketing strategies with reports to the Directors of the company.
  • Maintain effective internal communication to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of the marketing objective.
Desired Background Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree (Marketing, commerce or Business management) plus MBA from reputed universities.
  • 15 years of experiences in Sales, Marketing & Distribution field, with upper end FMCG companies having multiproduct managing role
  • CIM certificate and MUST be a Member of the Marketing Society of Kenya.
  • Highly competent with excellent analytic abilities, intelligence and strong intrapersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, positive & enthusiastic with abilities to energize others
  • Innovative with courage to be able to change the rules
  • Achievements oriented with abilities to manage self and others
