Job Vacancy: House Manager
 
Job Summary: The incumbent will be expected to handle housework efficiently.  She is specifically hired to provide assistance in handling household chores such as washing, cleaning, cooking etc. 

The house manager will be expected to take care of  the Family by ensuring their comfort among other important  things that directly results in improved  productivity at our respective workplace.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sweep and mop floors around the house  as instructed by the home-owner
  • Handle kitchen cleaning duties such as cleaning countertops and arranging cupboards and store-shelves.
  • Ensure that all kitchen appliances such as electric kettle, toasters, gas cooker, refrigerator and microwave oven are cleaned and maintained perfectly
  • Wash and dry dishes and make sure that they are put away in designated cupboards
  • Wash and hang clothes out to dry
  • Iron clothes and put them in designated wardrobes
  • Change linen and make beds as per home-owners instructions.
  • Ensure that carpets are swept and shampooed as per the orders of home-owners
  • Ensure that sofas are dusted on a daily basis and cushions neatly arranged on seats
  • Empty and wash out waste bins ensuring all the waste is properly put away
  •  Ensure that cleaning supplies are stored properly and in good condition
  • Sweep the compound on a daily basis and ensure that compound is kept neat at all times
  • Wash bathrooms, clean pipe-work, clean toothpaste holder, hand soap holder and shelves
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper and clean towels in the bathrooms
  • Cook food according to designated recipes provided by the home-owner or on other instructions
  • Report faulty equipment to homeowners and any needed repairs or defects in the compound.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Should be in the age bracket of 35-45 years old
  • Valid good conduct certificate will be an added advantage
  • KCSE certificate holder.
  • At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience working in similar position in an uptown house
  • Ability to easily adapt to change

  • Ability to work under pressure with no or minimum supervision
