Our client in the hair and beauty spa industry and who has been operational for over ten years in an upmarket suburb is restructuring. 

To this end the client is looking to fill various positions by hiring passionate, skilled and talented individuals very urgently as described below.
 
1. Hair Dressers 

 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for weaving, relaxing and treating hair as per the needs of the clients.
  • Offer professional advice to clients on appropriate, weaves, relaxers and styles
  • Attend to the client while assuring the client of the outcome
  • Build personal sales through clients
  • Offer the client advisory on after  care products and how to use them at home
  • Research on new products and upcoming styles in the market
  • Reports to operations coordinator
Requirements
  • Should have at least a diploma in hair dressing and 3 years experience in a busy salon.
  • Gifted in the art of weaving and styling
  • Must have excellent communication  and customer services skills
  • Be polite and a  people person
  • Be efficient in  time management and resources utilization
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about hair dressing and new trends
  • Posses high level of integrity

2. Beauty Spa Specialists
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for Massage, nail care, and facial make up as per the needs of the clients.
  • Offer professional advice to clients on appropriate products to use
  • Attend to the client while assuring the client of the outcome
  • Build personal sales through clients
  • Offer the client advisory on after  care products and how to use them at home
  •  Research on new products and upcoming styles in the market
  • Reports to operations coordinator
Requirements
  • Should have at least a diploma in beauty and 3 years experience in a busy salon.
  • Gifted in the art of nail technology designs  and make up
  • Must have excellent communication  and customer services skills
  • Be polite and a  people person

3. Barber / Dreadlock Specialist
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Responsible for haircuts and designs for natural hair
  • Responsible for making fresh dreadlock  by crotchet or hand and  reattaching them
  • Offer professional advice to clients on appropriate products to use
  • Attend to the client while assuring the client of the outcome
  • Build personal sales through clients
  • Offer the client advisory on after  care products and how to use them at home
  • Research on new products and upcoming styles in the market
  • Reports to operations coordinator
Requirements
  • Should have at least a diploma in barbering and 3 years experience in a busy salon.
  • Gifted in the art of locking and cutting natural hair and styling it
  • Must have excellent communication  and customer services skills
  • Be polite and a  people person
  • Be efficient in  time management and resources utilization
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about hair dressing and new trends
  • Posses high level of integrity
  • Be a team worker
4. Braids Specialist
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for plaiting hair for both adults and school going children
  • Offer professional advice to clients on appropriate products to use
  • Attend to the client while assuring the client of the outcome
  • Build personal sales through clients
  • Offer the client advisory on after  care products and how to use them at home
  • Research on new products and upcoming styles in the market

5. Receptionist
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  •  Responsible for receiving all customers to the salon and enquiring their needs
  • Welcome the client to a seat and let them know you are making enquiries as to how long it will take to be attended.
  • Invite the client to use WIFI or to take up some reading materials
  • Follow up with hair dressers to meet the client and provide further information
  • Record all client bookings for all the services offered in the salon
  • Follow up with the hairdresser to ensure they are ready before arrival of client
  • Invite the customers to know other services offered in the same salon
  • Facilitate the customers to pay for the services
  • Record all customers attended the individual attendant, the service offered  and the amounts paid
  • Keep all the hairdressers informed of any enquiries in their line of service
  • Reports to operations coordinator
Requirements
  • Should have at least a diploma in customer service and 3 years experience in a busy salon.
  • Be very informed about salon services, trends and the processes
  • Must have excellent communication  and customer services skills
  • Be polite and a  people person
  • Be efficient in  record keeping and time management
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about hair dressing and meeting new people
  • Posses high level of integrity
  • Be a team worker
6. Operations Co-ordinator
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the well running of the salon in all client related aspects
  • Shall supervise the staff and ensure that the clients are well attended in terms of quality if outcome and time utilization.
  • He shall delegate new clients as appropriate to the team as per their expertise
  • Responsible for building client relationships by  keeping in touch
  • Responsible for proposing client  incentive program for discussion with operations director
  •  Responsible for developing digital marketing activations of the salon
  • Responsible for establishing training areas for the staff and communicating the same
  • Shall carry out benchmarking visits with others and implement as approved
  • The incumbent shall be responsible for the staff welfare and incentive programs
  • Responsible for maintenance of equipment  and cleanliness of the salon
  • Ensure that all services offered on a daily basis are well documented
  • Shall be in the hiring panel for staffing  and for disciplinary cases
  • Reports to the operations director
Requirements
  • Should have at least a diploma in customer service/business administration
  • Have at least 5 years experience 2 of which should be in a supervisory role in a busy salon.
  • Must have excellent communication  and customer services skills
  • Be efficient in  record keeping and time management
  • Portray assertiveness and high level of confidence
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about hair dressing and meeting new people
  • Posses high level of integrity
  • Be a team worker
