Consolidated Bank wishes to attract highly motivated individuals for the following position:

Reporting to the Head of Credit, the Credit Manager will be responsible for managing the Bank's credit risk analysis function efficiently and effectively to ensure profitably and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities
  • Perform quality assessment of credit requests from the branches and the business development team.
  • Approve applications that are within the given discretionary limits.
  • Make recommendations for credit applications to the Credit Committee.
  • Develop and maintain effective monitoring tools for the credit portfolio to facilitate decision making on target market.
  • Develop and continuously review, streamline and improve credit policies, credit and monitoring processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround time
  • Ensure that a proper grading system exists of the credit portfolio and that this complies with the Central Bank prudential guidelines.
  • Participate in the development of Credit products.
  • Effective management, motivation and development of the Credit team.
Qualifications and competencies

The candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies
  • Be a holder of a Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or any related field.
  • Professional Banking qualifications will be an added advantage
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in lending.
  • Have strong leadership, communication and team building skills with ability to manage diverse teams
  • Be self driven with a strong commercial orientation

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the Administration Manager will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing and coordinating all property maintenance, development and construction activities in the Bank and dealing with all administrative matters relating to commercial tenants.
  • Managing the provision of the procurement service to internal customers and giving support and guidance to Management in relation to procurement issues and practices.
  • Coordinating with all non- employee- benefit related insurance agents and security firms.
  • Assisting in organization of office space; coordinating moving, purchase and delivery of new furniture and equipment, orders and maintains office machines, supplies and inventory and ensures that storage areas are properly utilized.
  • Coordinating archival of business documents, updates/assigns numbers, descriptions and department codes, maintains supplies, submits reports to finance, and administers procedures for systematic asset and document retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of items.
  • Administering and maintaining telephone system, activates and deactivates security cards for staff access and entry to buildings.
  • Supervises administration staff including receptionist, office assistants, drivers, receptionist and administration support staff.
Qualifications and competencies

The candidate must possess the following qualifications and competencies
  • Be a holder of a Degree in Social Sciences.
  • Professional procurement qualifications will be an added advantage
  • Four years related work experience and strong organization and negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify strategic view of issues, multi-task and set priorities in a flexible manner to address changing needs, detail oriented and strict adherence to deadlines.
