Job Summary

Main Responsibilities
  • Generating new insurance business from the market for all classes of business
  • Exploring and identifying potential markets and monitoring new business opportunities and trends.
  • Securing requests for quotations and undertaking the necessary background research prior to preparing quotations so as to improve the chances of successful bidding and follow up the quotations to ensure we close the business.
  • Processing and submitting viable tenders to procuring entities and following up of same.
  • Promoting the Fep Insurance Brand by coordinating and participating in marketing activities, events and forums.
  • Insurance business retention
  • Debt management
  • Claim management
  • Underwriting management
  • Storage and issue of certificates
  • Commission settlement
  • Reduce non conformities out of internal and external audits
  • Periodically reporting to management on revenue generation and clientele feedback
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners including IRA, RBA, Underwriters etc
  • Assists in the development of the annual budget and ensure all expenses are managed well.
  • Ensuring strong internal communication between all areas of the business. Escalating marketing matters to the management proactively.
  • Design an effective system to provide accurate reports on new business opportunities in line with set Company policies
  • Ensuring compliance and corporate governance for clientele accounts
  • Attending to any other duties that may be allocated by management from time to time.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
  • Computer literate
  • Progress on Professional Qualification – CII or IIK
  • Business related Degree from a recognised university
  • Work Experience – At least 3 Years in a underwriting ,claims and marketing/sales role
