Car Tracking Firm Sales and Marketing / Credit Controller Job in Mombasa, Kenya

Our Client, a car tracking firm is looking for a Sales and Marketing / Credit Controller, to be based at their Mombasa office.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Initiating required actions for response to customer service requests for order changes, including the maintenance of order / customer information files, and communicating changes to the appropriate personnel / departments.
  • Answering calls, responding to emails, and making follow up calls for existing and prospective clients.
  • Ensuring and providing quality service to both internal and external customers.
  • Informing clients by explaining procedures; answering questions; providing information.
  • Resolving problems by clarifying issues; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; implementing solutions; escalating unresolved problems.
  • Maintaining call center database by entering information.
  • Fulfilling requests by clarifying desired information; completing transactions; forwarding requests
  • Maintaining customer records by updating account information.
  • Recommending potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Preparing product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed from time to time.
  • Build relationships between clients/ colleagues/ departments/ branches/ business partners/ dealers
  • Take 100% ownership of every situation with a client, ensuring issues are resolved to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Any other duties as instructed by your HOD
Credit Control Duties:-
  • Monthly collections via telephone
  • Responsible for the debtors files
  • Ensuring that payment terms are kept minimal
  • Managing arrear accounts
  • Preparing accounts for legal handovers
  • Liaising with sales team on any queries
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts monthly to ensure prompt payment receipts hence increase company cash flow.
  • Ensure collection plans milestone affect only the unpaid accounts and those customers who have payment plans stick to them.
  • Review of the periodic high balance reports, overdue accounts through discussions with customers on their payment plans / Following up on unpaid debit orders
  • Making sure that all paid invoice copies are filed in relevant client’s files.
  • Weekly cash flow forecasting
  • Build relationship between clients/colleagues/departments/branches/business Partners/dealers
  • Maintain active accounts up to suspension
  • Adhoc – Ensuring that invoices are sent to clients on time
Desired Qualifications:-
  • 3 – 4 years experience in Sales and Marketing, and some knowledge in Debt Collection.
  • Education background in Marketing and some financial knowledge.
  • Aggressive
  • Must have a valid Driving License
