Coffee Farm General Manager Job in Moshi, Tanzania

Our client one of East Africa’s largest Coffee Farms located above Moshi and recognized for growing and producing Arabic Coffee for export are currently looking for a qualified, hands-on and motivated General Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overall production, workshop, irrigation and factory activities. 

He/she Must have a minimum of 5 years managerial experiences in a coffee plantation and demonstrate hands-on experiences managing an estate.

In addition to this, the candidate will report to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Overall management and cost control of the farm department.
  • Establish the farm’s development and cropping plan.
  • Responsible for developing and adhering to all budgets, targets and costing of operations.
  • Ensure that at any time all the operational practices are compliant with company adopted international standards such as UTZ/RFA certified, ILO guidelines and Tanzania Labour Laws.
  • Must have a relevant bachelor degree in Agriculture.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experiences in a management level in a coffee estate is mandatory.
  • Fluent in English and Kiswahili
  • Experiences and interest to work in East-Africa on a long-term perspective.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and cost analysis.
  • Strong data management skills
  • Firm grasp of large-scale commercial coffee estate management is mandatory.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of coffee cultivation, irrigation, technical and processing.
Monthly gross salary: Excellent remuneration plus housing, company car and medical.
