Global Skills Network Program Manager Job in Kigali, Rwanda

Our client a Global Organisation with its inception in the USA and with primary mission of accelerating economic development in emerging economies is looking to fill the position of Program Manager, Global Skills Network for their offices based in Kigali, Rwanda. 

The successful candidate MUST have experience interfacing with the Engineering and Management institutes, Entrepreneur and SME organizations, Mentor and Investor groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management of the Skills Development Program.
  • Help identify the needs and define the goals and scope of the program.
  • Create a detailed project plan, monitor actions & ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Qualify and sign up relevant institutes as per target & within timelines
  • Facilitating the capacity development of member institutes.
  • Facilitate access to different resources from within and outside the company.
  • Work with individual institutions to visualize and build goals & annual road maps
  • Help administer the surveys on campuses at regular intervals
  • Help arrange Faculty Development training through Subject Matter Expert(s) from SSCs/Industry.
  • Training Industry Sector Skill Councils (and possibly Companies/Association) Interface
  • Ensure Curriculum covers all aspects of training - Classroom instruction material, Faculty Guide.
  • Work with SSC/Industry to organize & deliver the training course logistics.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders including from industry, educational & training institutes & government.
  • Liaison with parties involved, ensure common understanding & that deliverables meet the requirements.
  • Must be a Rwandan National.
  • Must have a Master’s degree in Business, Social Work or other equivalent degree.
  • Must have a minimum of 8 years with at least 3 years in roles leading projects and people.
  • MUST have experience interfacing with private sector, higher educational institutes and government .
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic planning, Program management skills.
  • Able to develop documents and other write-ups for communication on paper, via the web & other means.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences (students, teachers, principals, government)
  • Ability to break up a complex deliverable into a project plan with realistic tasks.
  • Confident & able to interface with senior faculty/ industry experts/ Education Partners and government.
  • Mastery of MS Office tools and e-learning tools – Word, PowerPoint, Excel ,e-learning platforms,
  • Experience setting up projects from scratch, training & development using current tools.
  • Any experience in Learning Management Systems/e-learning will be a plus.
Monthly gross salary: KSH 180,000 /= (Approx. 1,800 USD) depending on skills and experience
