3 Star Hotel Security Supervisor Job in Kericho, Kenya

Position: Security Supervisor

Our client, a leading 3 Star Hotel in the heart of Kericho town is urgently seeking to recruit a Security Supervisor.
 
Job Purpose: The post-holder will be responsible for providing and maintaining high Safety and Security Standards of the Hotel to achieve maximum customer confidence.
 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Managing various aspects of the security department for the Hotel.
  • Ensure safety and protection of Hotel property and stakeholders including but not limited to employees, customers and suppliers at all time.
  • Conduct security Checks as directed by immediate superior.
  • Record all incidences in the Security Occurrence book and submit to Superiors for review as per company policy on the same.
  • Conduct Security Related Trainings (First aid, Fire Fighting and Fire evacuation) for all staff and managers.
  • Supervise internal and external movements.
  • Assign work areas for officers to patrol.
  • Welcome visitors and make sure that they are properly accounted for at all times.
  • Ensure that all security equipment’s are working properly (Intruders alarm, firefighting system, etc…)
  • Help in the set-up of evacuation procedures.
  • Make sure that the ways to the fire exits are always cleared.
  • Make sure that the standard signage’s are in place before opening of the store (Fire exit sign, etc.…)
  • Detect and identify offenders and report them to immediate superiors
  • Work with local police department particularly when there is a security breach necessary for an outside investigation to take place.
  • Help the Central Cash Office staff during money/funds transfer.
  • Keep the First Aid equipment available and replenished at all time.

  • Supervisory skills are a must.
  • First Aid and Fire Fighting skills;
  • Excellent analytical and investigation skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours;
  • High sense of responsibility;
  • Problem solving skills with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills;
  • Team Player
  • Impeccable personal grooming
Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant job experience
  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Criminology and Security Studies
  • Certificate of Secondary Education
  • Certificate of Good Conduct and recommendation letters from previous employers
