Catholic Technical Training Centre is a private institution under the Catholic Diocese of Maralal. 

It is registered with the ministry of education Science and Technology and located in Maralal town along Maralal - Barsaloi Road in Samburu County. 


The mission of the Technical Centre is to fulfill the mission of Christ by facilitating the alleviation of human suffering, improving the welfare of the youth through provision of vocational training. 

The Technical Centre offers training to students and services to the public in the following fields; mechanical, plumbing /welding, carpentry and joinery, masonry and driving. 

The Catholic Diocese of Maralal is looking for an experienced, self- driven and result- oriented professional to fill in the following post:

Position: Manager
 
Reports to: Diocesan Financial Administrator
 
Duty Station: Catholic Technical Training Centre
 
Job Purpose: The job holder is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the operations and fiscal health of the Technical Training Centre.
 
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
  • Insure efficient and effective implementation of strategy designed to grow the business.
  • Oversee daily operation for the organization.
  • Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
  • Evaluate and decide upon investments in equipment and infrastructure.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Perform any other related duty as assigned by supervisor.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or related field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience of responsible leadership in management.
  • Must be proficient in computer applications.

  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a person of high level of integrity.
  • Possess a high level business acumen and ability to display orientation to market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical skills coupled with prudent decision ability.
  • Excellent leadership skills and must be a team player.
