We currently manage a network of over 2,100 independent artisans through what we call our “virtual factory” - a mobile phone driven supply chain that coordinates opportunity, production and fulfilment with no centralized point of production or overhead. 

This results in a model so efficient and affordable that artisans retain an unprecedented 25-35% of revenue while Soko is able to compete on price and timelines in the mainstream market.

Position Summary
The Manager will be expected to:
  • Support back end sales operations, ensuring orders transition successfully from Sales to Production to Shipping
  • Input sales orders received from Sales team into NuOrder and production batches
  • Noting any unique specifications, customizations, or changes made to orders, and advising the production team accordingly
  • Oversee production team receiving sales team orders ensure timely start dates for manufacturing process to begin
  • Advising sales team on production teams current lead times and analysing production status and capacity to quote real time updates on lead times
  • If production items are delayed or available to ship earlier, informing sales team about the delay or ready to ship merchandise in a timely manner
  • Overseeing the communication of retailer shipping and packing guidelines, and making sure that production is in line with all the necessary specifications and rules
  • -Working with the US based sales team to liaison on all production orders
  • Develop analytics, systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports
  • Collaborate with staff, other departments, senior management to share information, problem solve, clarify management objectives and streamline processes
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of responsible positions in project management / operations / administration / Logistics
  • Team oriented innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and results
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal & presentation skills
  • A person with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural context
  • Comfortable building relationships cross-departmentally
  • Superior management skills, including the ability to advocate for and manage priorities
  • A passion for Soko’s mission, vision, and values.
