Job Title: Training Specialist

Role Introduction:
Our client, a leader in Insurance seeks to engage and hire a Training Specialist professional responsible for implementing blended training solutions to address multi-discipline training needs and facilitate transfer of learning to the Sales and Distribution department.

Role Profile: 

Reporting to the Training and Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Analysing with a broad spectrum the training needs within the Sales and distribution department;
  • Implementing best approach to training delivery methods to enhance the effectiveness of the interventions;
  • Facilitating complex and sensitive workshops and programmes at all levels within the Sales & Distribution department.
  • Implementing multi-system assessment tools in accordance with Skills Development policies;
  • Providing effective facilitation and learning through integrating general best practices, business realities, external industry trends and research;
  • Building and maintaining win-win partnerships with the customer base to better provide feedback to Training and Development solutions that address  business challenges and ensure value add to the customers;
  • Supporting the recruitment process by attending interviews and providing feedback on each new recruit trained;
  • Ensuring compliance of the sales force through supervision of the COP and IRA processes.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Social related studies;
  • Insurance Certification is an added advantage;
  • A Certified Professional Trainer qualification;
  • 3 – 4 years’ experience in Training and Development environment, Agency training experience is preferred;
  • Broader knowledge of training programmes offered to department, Business units and at Group Level;
  • Demonstrated experience in outcomes based education/Assessor & Moderator Training;
  • Understanding of Group Dynamics & facilitation techniques;
  • Understanding of insurance products, systems, sales and legislation.
