Nova Pioneer Academies is looking for an outstanding IT Technology Associate who is deeply passionate about all things technology related! 

This role is tasked with the responsibility of managing and organizing the IT processes, receiving and scheduling IT support requests, maintaining the technology equipment, testing and reconditioning equipment for redeployment, tracking tech supplies and services, and other general duties as assigned by his manager.

About The Role:

As an IT/ Technology Associate you will be specifically responsible for the following:
  • Installing, maintaining and configuring hardware and software systems per company policies.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing network, hardware and software components, esp. Internet and printer issues!
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspection of network and server systems.
  • Testing network and server systems to verify functionality and performance.
  • Performing hardware and software upgrades to achieve optimum performance level.
  • Supporting staff with tech requests – general computer use, printers, projects, etc.
  • Supporting teachers during technology aided lessons or as needed.
  • General tech setup requests, especially during events and meetings hosted at the school.
  • Assisting with check in / check out of laptops for student use.
  • Administering school systems and helping to manage student / staff accounts.
  • Assisting with deployment, training and management of school systems.
  • Assisting with generation of report cards (grading) and other documents.
  • Assisting with setting up and maintaining an accurate list of student and staff accounts on all our systems.
  • Assisting with set-up of online tests as required by the school.
  • Managing and tracking tech assets.
  • Securely storing and managing all tech assets, including laptops, projectors, network equipment, etc.
  • Ordering and stock IT equipment and supplies when necessary
What makes you a great fit for this role:
  • Individual pursuing diploma/degree in an IT related field or a minimum of 2 years technical experience is preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate competence and comfort with PC/Linux/Mac based computer systems.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and the ability to work independently is required.
  • Having a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community.
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using proper grammar and vocabulary.
  • Knowledge in computer networks- you don't need to have a CCNA certificate but you should be able to troubleshoot network issues.
