Position: Project Administrator – E-Commerce
Department: Business Development
Industry: Retail
Duty Station: Nairobi
Overall Purpose: Responsible for coordination and developing workable programs around the business development department.

This is an entry level role where you need to wear a lot of hats, from managing the ecommerce, store to assisting with e-mail marketing, blog/copy writing, product development and more. 

The right person will have a willingness to learn, not only best marketing practices, but gaining industry knowledge as well.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Sales online store.
  • Plan, create and implement a digital marketing strategy across all digital mediums, including web analytics, search engine optimization, SEM/PPC, banner ads, e-mail marketing and websites.
  • Understand core metrics traffic and conversion analysis. Monitor results and improve conversions.
  • Help manage all aspects of ecommerce merchandising and buying, including site merchandising, promotion planning, overseeing new product selection, online catalog changes, product setup, vendor performance, etc.
  • Assessing each product group success in terms of revenue, profitability and growth potential.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and internet sales channels and assess against goals (KPI's).
  • Coordinate with Project Manager on industry blog articles, videos, newsletters and more.
  • Achieve set monthly online sales targets
  • Responsible for generating online leads. Converting prospects into qualified leads and ultimately conversion into actual customers.
  • Drive online conversions and fulfill online order requests by liaising with relevant departments.
  • Prepare weekly reports and update project manager on the daily progress of the online business.
  • Responsible for cold calling people in their homes, engaging them in conversation and encouraging them to buy products or services.
  • Explaining competitively about lay-by concept to customers
  • Convincing customers of the benefits of lay-by concept.
  • Booking the products with customers and completing all administrative tasks.
  • Monitoring sales activities and proactively taking necessary action to re-direct efforts as needed
  • Any other duty as assigned by the management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Business related degree.
  • 2 years of marketing/ecommerce experience or equivalent work experience.
Desired Skills
  • Basic web design skills. Must be comfortable editing HTML, CSS, PHP.
  • PPC. A basic knowledge of working with Google Adwords/ Bing Ads.
  • Good UX design skills. You know what makes for a great user experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Graphic design a huge plus, but not required.
  • Up to date on the most current and best SEO practices.
  • Extremely well written. We want the ability to write engaging copy for newsletters, product descriptions and landing pages. Please include writing samples if you have them.
