Location: Nairobi, Kenya

The World Bank Group’s Finance & Markets Global Practice (F&M GP) is seeking to recruit a highly qualified Financial Sector Specialist to be based in the World Bank Country Office in Nairobi, Kenya. 

The position is broadly aimed at increasing the World Bank Group’s ability to serve clients in the Africa region, particularly with regard to advice on issues related to Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) frameworks, enabling environments at the sector level, and the development of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) institutions, programs and pipelines. 

The Financial Sector Specialist will contribute to the implementation of the program under the guidance of the Practice Manager, Finance & Markets Focal Point for the Kenya CMU (AFCE2), and senior Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) staff based in Washington.
The Financial Sector Specialist will provide operational and analytical support to Finance and Markets Global Practice (F&M GP) team working on Kenya, Rwanda, and Uganda. 

The candidate will need to demonstrate broad knowledge of infrastructure finance and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs).

Selection Criteria and Electronic Applications:
The successful candidate should have a Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, finance, engineering, management, policy or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of operations experience in the field of infrastructure project preparation and development consulting, finance, regulation or Public-Private Partnerships with demonstrated ability to engage on a range of issues in developing countries including advice on both program and project preparation and development.
