Job Advert: Business Development Executive 

Salary: Kshs 40,000 + Commissions
 
Our client a one stop shop technology company that provides innovative solutions and serves a growing demand for IT solutions seeks to employ a Business Development Executive. 

Your main role will be to sell IT solutions to companies, Governmental organizations and Institutions by creating partnerships. 

 
You shall be tasked with creating new business leads and working towards ensuring excellent customer service is maintained at all times
 
Responsibilities
  • Developing an understanding of the market, identifying opportunities and engaging with prospects via phone, email, and other communication tools to promote and inform about the benefits of our products.
  • Setting up meetings with potential customers to provide demonstrations and learn about their needs as a business.
  • Following up in a timely manner with prospects to progress conversion to completion and handle objections they may have.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the business and participating on behalf of the company in exhibitions, conferences, and/or events that are determined to assist in accelerating sales or building your profile.
  • Write Project Proposals and presentations. Engage in deliberations with other organization and stakeholders, make presentations, pitch solutions and close sales.
  • Generating leads for new business by various channels.
  • Tracking new clients in various companies, organizations, institutions and industries, approaching them, giving proposals & getting contract done with them.
  • Responsible for fixing and making the meetings with the clients to generate the business.
  • Works proactively to provide client marketing needs with the greater amount of added value by communication.
  • Schedule and attend client meetings, ensuring that number of meetings meets targets as set by management.
  • To meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets and grow sales month by month.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • To establish contact with potential clients through direct communication, face to face meetings, telephone calls, emails and presentations.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Responsible for achieving set KPIs
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or the equivalent; a technical degree is also desirable
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position in the IT industry.
  • Candidate must be confident in a selling environment that entails internet or software products & Services.
  • Business case writing and presentation with a detailed understanding of the business to IT
  • Must exhibit professional integrity, accountability, maturity, and strategic industry insight
  • Analytical skill sets, strong presentation skills, ability to productively interact at any level within a client organization
  • Ability to self-motivate, multi-task efficiently, and work independently or within a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a sales and marketing team environment.
  • Strong Organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Above Average desktop computer skills with experience in Pages, Numbers, Keynote or MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
