Manufacturing Company Legal and Administration Manager Job in Nairobi, Kenya (350K)

Our client a manufacturing company with a group of companies seeks to recruit a suitable candidate for the position of a Legal and Administration Manager

The role is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal & Administration department through the provision of Legal, Administrative, Human Resources and Security services to the Group of companies and employees thereby manage legal and contractual risks.
Location: Nairobi
Nature of Job: Full time
Salary: 250K - 350K
Key Deliverables
  • Provide leadership to ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the legal and administration department.
  • Provide legal protection and risk management advise to the Group particularly on contracts, tender documents, leases, ongoing cases, employee’s contracts and to identify legal risks to take appropriate action and to review progress of outstanding litigation to liaise with and manage external lawyers.
  • Maintenance of quality services by establishment and enforcement of standard in relation to processes, structures and procedures.
  • Review and draft contract agreements, internal communications, and procedures to advice on the legal implications and /or compliance with the statutory or legal requirements.
  • Provide continuous leadership, supervision, training and development of the department staff to ensure an effective and motivated team.
  • Ensure industrial harmony through effective industrial relations strategies and efficient execution of the provisions of the CBA.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor of Law degree (LLB) from a recognized university
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law
  • An Advocate of the High Court & Commissioner of Oaths
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or Diploma in Industrial Relations
  • Minimum 3- 5 years working experience in busy & unionized HR environment in a large manufacturing organization

  • In-depth knowledge of Regulatory framework and labour laws
  • Excellent negotiation skills & computer skills
