Marketing Communications Manager (Motorcycles) Job in Kenya

Our client, a premium motorcycle company is looking for a highly talented, skilled and driven Marketing and Communication Manager Professional to join their team and help build an aspirational brand.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will directly report to the Commercial Director.  

S/He will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion.

The Marketing and Communication Manager should be a competent professional able to understand customer segments, the appropriate channels and messages to reach them.  

S/He should be passionate about motorcycles and well versed in specialized marketing concepts, principles and tactics in order to deliver effective marketing programs that will build their brand to become known as a mobility brand that with an entrepreneurial spirit that people can trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, define & develop annual marketing plans and programs
  • Follow up on jobs briefed to PR, events and advertising agencies to ensure results are delivered on time
  • Identify new marketing channels and opportunities in line with company target markets
  • Coordinate development, procurement and distribution of product brochures and other promotional materials
  • Support appointed agents, dealers and service centres in compiling and executing marketing activities in their regions
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas with agencies, resellers, and sales team for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate marketing activities with Creative Agencies to ensure our corporate image is maintained
  • Compile event plan briefs based on the requirements agreed upon by creative agencies and the Business Development Manager
  • Follow up marketing suppliers and ensure proper documentation and record keeping process is adhered to for approval and record keeping
  • Generate post-event reports and sharing them with line managers.
  • Coordinate management of the company social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat etc.)
  • Update the competitor analysis on a weekly basis and report this to the Commercial Director.
  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in business with a major in marketing and/or communications
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a marketing department
  • Previous experience organizing corporate events
  • Knowledge of traditional modes of communication as well as digital and social media & Media firms
  • Experience in managing creative partners, PR, Communications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pulling, compiling and analysing data from various sources with the aim of generating meaningful reports that prove effectiveness/ conversion rates
Salary: Ksh. 150,000 - 180,000 gross
