SACCO Chief Executive Officer Job in Kenya

Ukristo Na Ufanisi Wa Angilicana Sacco Ltd, a Christian Deposit Taking SACCO wishes to recruit a competent individual to fill the position of Chief Executive Officer.

Primary Responsibility: Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the Sacco’s long and short term plans. 

He/she will also be responsible for the overall planning, administration, coordination and evaluation of all functions of the Sacco. 
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership in development and implementation of strategic initiatives to achieve business growth,
  • Oversee the implementation of all Sacco’s policies and timely implementation of the board recommendations,
  • Provide leadership to internal management team and ensuring synergy among all the teams,
  • Provide technical advice and operational feedback to the Board of Directors and relevant sub-committees for effective decision making,
  • Ensure there is adequate policy framework, systems and controls for the smooth efficient operations and to safe guard Sacco’s resources and assets.
  • Develop appropriate organizational structures for optimum utilization of Sacco’s resources,
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources including Human Capital among others,
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements 
  • Ensure sound financial management and production of periodic financial statements 
  • Ensure excellent customer care practices in order to achieve high customer satisfaction. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related area from a recognized University. MBA is an added advantage.
  • Professional qualifications in accounting either CPA or ACCA,
  • 5 years’ experience at similar or senior management level in deposit taking Sacco or financial institution, 
  • Good knowledge of Co-operative Sector regulatory framework and trends in the Financial Services Sector
  • Team player with excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to initiate as well as implement institutional changes and organizational development programs
