Sales Account Manager Job in Kenya

Sheer Logic is seeking to engage a dynamic individual for the Sales Account Manager position for one of our clients.

Aim of Job:
  • To contribute towards the sales growth objectives of the organization.
  • To increase the company’s  share among current and potential customers (key accounts and/or distributors)
  • Increase direct sales to key (industrial) customers
  • Increase indirect sales via distributors (to small and medium sized bakeries, food service outlets, etc)
Sphere of Responsibility & Field Activity:

 
Target Group: All customer groups (key accounts and distributors)

Key Duties / Responsibilities:

The position of Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing and developing all key accounts and distributors and sales activities in his assigned territory
 
Set up and implement account and promotion plans for strategic customers and distributors in your region.
 
Monitor , promote and control sales of distributors to their customers
 
Co-operate closely with the Technical Sales Support demo bakers
 
You will be introducing new products to the market. Part of the job is to recognize the current market trends and the needs of customers.
 
You will file all important information regarding visits, customers and markets in system on weekly basis.
 
Send weekly and monthly markets /  sales reports to your superior

Specific Knowledge and Skills:
  • The capability to influence decision makers to achieve the desired results at the appropriate levels.
  • Experienced in working with basic PC skills including Microsoft Office.(Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Creativity in finding new markets and customers.
  • Experienced in “concept selling”.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently every month.
Communication:
  • Good knowledge of main local language and English both verbal and written (for emails and reports, internally and externally).
  • Ability to communicate to all customer levels in a respectful way.
  • Proactive, open, extrovert and sales oriented personality.
  • Ability to express oneself, able to build up relations with customers and peers/colleagues.
  • Maintain contact (also by email) with sales, marketing/communication, and R&D departments.
Experience:/ Education

Education:
College or University level
 
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in selling bakery/pastry  or food products/ingredients.
