Job Title: Sales Manager - Global Logistics

Job Grade: Manager

Reports to: Group Commercial Manager

Partial Reporting to: Group General Manager

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our Client is a Cargo Logistics Company. They offer in modern, spacious, secure warehousing options in Nairobi, Mombasa and Eldoret.

 
Job Purpose: We are hiring a candidate who will be responsible for developing and growing the specific divisions annual strategic sales in accordance with corporate objective to achieve revenue targets, profit targets and product growth initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities


As part of delivery, the incumbent will need to:
  • Develop and implement the Sales Plan for the group with a focus on identifying and securing new customers and developing the revenue of key sectors for Global Logistics Division.
  • Fully accountable for the delivery of the net revenue via robust field sales and strategically managed existing accounts;  
  • Deliver agreed revenue and objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and achieves clients’ KPIs as per set targets.  
  • Establishes sales policies, procedures, selling and reporting guidelines to support the sales team within the Division in achieving the objectives set, in growing the company’s market share and in increasing revenues.
Experience: A minimum of at least five (5) years’ work experience in Sales Role with a bias in Logistics

Qualifications: Bachelor’ Degree in Business Administration or Management or other comparable qualifications from a recognized Institution; Diploma in Sales & Marketing;

Key Skills and Competencies:
  • It is essential for the candidate to have the following skills/competencies:
  • Proficiency in use of Systems;
  • Prospecting Skills;
  • Sales Planning and Selling to Customer Needs;
  • Territory Management
  • Logistics experience is mandatory
