Company Background & Job Summary: Our client is a beverage alcohol distribution company in Kenya with a large network and brand base. In conjunction with Moet Hennessy the above post is now vacant.
 
This position is responsible for developing strategy and executing the strategy for increasing revenue and distribution footprint for the brands in all appropriate markets such that we’re profitable in all markets and are competing at the same level of excellence. 

 
There’s a great deal of responsibility and freedom in this position.  

It also necessitates development and deployment of an excellent team and managing a team of 3.
 
Achieve and exceeding budgeted volumes, revenue and market share is key. 

Reporting will be directly to the distributor’s Marketing Director and functionally to Moet Hennessy’s Market Manager Eastern Africa.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Sales growth strategy and execution
  • Development of distributor relationships and oversight of those relationships
  • Working with owners to develop sales goals, budgets and pricing strategies per market o\
  • Budget Accountability
  • Management of Marketing Team including deployment and market strategies
  • Coordination with other departmental managers regarding special projects, events management, distillation equipment sales visits, etc.
  • Development and management of social media strategy, including message points, channels,  standards and execution.
  • Selection of key partners for social media & marketing work
  • Set, track and report on KPI’s
  • Develop brand plans and manage implementation
  • Define, strategise and execute commercial plan for the brand
  • Manage, develop and grow the team alongside the Brand Marketing Manager East Africa
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide clear plan for reactive strategy
Qualifications and skills
  • 5-7 years Brand Management and proven experience in FMCG or Wines & Spirits
  • Masters Degree in Business or Marketing
  • International exposure/experience
  • Budget Management skills and experience
  • ICT literate
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Proven leadership/ managerial experience
  • Networking and negotiation skills
  • Ideally an extrovert personality type (due to nature of trade outlet exposure necessary)
  • Understanding and sensitivity to luxury brands/ environs
