Amref Health Africa in Kenya (Amref) is a non-state actor Principal Recipient (PR) of the Global Fund (GF) Malaria grant for the period 2018-2021. 

Established in 1957, Amref is Africa’s largest indigenous health Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) headquartered in Nairobi.
Amref Health Africa in Kenya’s vision is lasting health change in Africa, and its mission is to increase sustainable health access to communities in Africa through solutions in human resource for health, health services delivery and investments in health.

Malaria is still a major public health and socio-economic problem in Kenya with three-quarters of the estimated population of 43.6 million at risk of the disease. 

The country has therefore prioritized malaria among the diseases targeted for elimination. 

The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) through the 2018 -2021 funding cycle will be supporting the country to implement high-impact initiatives that will maximize the impact of its investments to make an even greater contribution towards the vision of a world free of malaria. 

This funding will be supporting, among others, community-based malaria prevention and control interventions in priority counties.

In consultation with the Kenya Country Coordinating Mechanism (KCM) and Ministry of Health, Amref Health Africa in Kenya is requesting for proposals from eligible organisations that will be sub-granted to implement priority interventions in target counties. 

Eligible organisations include; national and local Non-Governmental Organisations, Civil Society Organisations, private not-for-profit sector organisations, Trust.

Proposals should be enclosed in a plain envelop clearly marked with the EOI Tender number in the reference line and addressed to:

All proposals are to be deposited in the SMALL tender box at Amref Health Africa in Kenya, Country Office Opposite Lang’ata Primary School next to the main reception so as to be received on or before 3 November 2017 at/or before 12:00 hours East African Time.

Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted.
