Job details
  • Training, documentation, audit and consultancy on ISO 9001, ISO 14000, BS OHSAS 18000, ISO 22000 standards.
  • Developing and updating training manuals /materials/notes for ISO 9001, ISO 14000, BS OHSAS 18000, ISO 22000 standards
  • Preparing training reports
  • Providing CEO with expert/technical advice
  • Doing presentations/Demonstrations for clients
  • Training and appraising trainee and part-time consultants
  • Educating members of the Apex team on ISO standards and quality management.
  • Training of trainers.
  • Coordinating open courses with relevant officers.
Qualifications and competencies
Education and training
  • Bachelors’ Degree from a recognized university
  • One must have successfully attended the following trainings based on the relevant standard:
  1. Awareness training
  2. Implementers Training
  3. Internal auditors training
  4. Documentation training
  5. Lead auditor Training
  6. Training of Trainers
  • Must have trained 10 sessions of top management and staff awareness trainings
  • Must have trained 20 sessions of implementers training.
  • Must have facilitated 10 sessions of documentation workshops
  • One must have logged 160 audit hours (20 days).
  • Able to communicate eloquently
  • Knowledgeable in the relevant standard
  • Can use relevant sector specific examples
  • Conversant with common computer packages i.e. PowerPoint, word
  • Report writing skills
  • Possess Auditor skills and knowledge as outlined in ISO 19011:2011
  • Be conversant with auditing principles
ICT Officer
Job details
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the machines
  • Data Back-up
  • Converting each user to the server by using passwords
  • Updating data and software
  • Renewing antivirus subscription and cleaning if viruses occur
  • Identifying and maintaining computer networks according to the department
  • Servicing and repair of all ICT machines
  • Offering support to users and solving software problems

  • Analysis of evaluation and customer satisfaction survey forms
  • Advice CEO on Information Security
  • Documenting Apex activities through photographs, sound clips and videos
  • Developing a quarterly staff newsletter

  • Institutionalize and develop staff capacity on use of internet conferencing facilities such as skype, doodle and go to meeting

Human Resource and Administration Officer
Job details
  • Oversee staff recruitment, orientation, leave, time off, training, teambuilding, development, welfare, discipline and separation.
  • Finalization, implementation and regular reporting on progress in achievement of HR and Administration Strategic goals
  • Supervision of HR & Admin department, outsourced suppliers as well as Apex confidential registry.
  • Development / review of HR and Admin procedures
  • Development / finalization of Apex profile, staff policies and handbooks
  • Convening of monthly management meetings, quarterly departmental meetings and mid-month meetings. 
  • Be in liaison officer for Ushuru Sacco Society ltd and advice the Chief Executive Officer on setting up of a staff retirement scheme for Apex staff.
  • Provide leadership to the complaints and compliments, safety and health as well as other committees
  • Ensure Performance Appraisals are conducted annually as per the stipulated procedures
  • Report on staff evaluation (SMART CHAMPIONS)
  • Staff development i.e. Staff training
  • Analysis of use of the main printer
  • Analysis and reporting on kitchen expenditure
  • Updating the training and consultancy report register, board and posting the picture of the training board on Apex Whatsapp

  • Supervise preparation of training materials by the ICT Officer, issuing and returning of the same by consultants.

  • Attending to visitors and ensuring that they fill in our visitors’ book
