Lottery Manager Job in Kenya

Job Title: Lottery Manager
Department: Lottery and Gaming
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer 

Direct Reports: Sales Executives, Marketing Executives, Customer Service Representatives, Betting Executives

Role Overview: The Job Holder will be responsible for the development and management of the company`s lottery operation and to motivate the Lottery Products sales team to promote growth and achieve monthly and annual targets, maximizing potential whilst delivering exceptional customer service to the lottery members and the community.

Key Accountabilities
  • Developing the Company’s Lottery Products sales strategies and initiatives and leading in implementation of approved strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the marketing department to develop go-to-market strategy, define pricing, competitive positioning and enhancement opportunities.
  • Responsible for growth of Lottery Products’ revenues by increasing subscription and usage as well as finding new opportunities to expand sales.
  • Collaborating with the technical team to improve the user experience for customers.
  • Working with the customer service team to provide outstanding level of customer care to ensure that relationships with lottery players are maintained and developed.
  • In charge of setting up the lottery and gaming department including supporting the recruitment of needed personnel and supervision of the team.
  • Optimizing the use of the lottery database and ensure that accurate records are kept of all lottery transactions.
  • Liaising with the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) and other regulators to ensure that the Company’s operations are within the stipulated regulations and in compliance with the law.
  • Compiling and presenting daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly reports on products quality, pricing, market share, market potential, sales volumes, customer service and customer complaints.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the manager within the role.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • Degree in a marketing or business discipline. Diploma in Marketing will be an added advantage.
  • At least three to five years of proven sales and marketing track record in a highly and technologically driven commercial environment (Betting, Media and Marketing Agencies industries background preferred)
  • Experience managing corporate communications in a fast-moving consumer goods category preferred/Experience in agency relationship management.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in business analytics and product pricing and compensation determination programs.
