Maintenance Engineer Job in Kenya

Vacancy: Maintenance Engineer

Our Client is a young, up-coming manufacturer of HDPE containers. 

They seek to recruit a vibrant, self-driven and high energy individual to manage the maintenance and operation of their manufacturing equipment.

Purpose of the Role: The holder will have oversight for the efficient operation of the equipment to ensure optimal performance and material usage.

 
Duty Area:
  • PET Preform Lines with Utility.
  • PET Blow Moulding Lines with Utility.
  • Mould / Machine Maintenance.
Job Responsibilities
 
The holder will be responsible for overall operational efficiency of equipment in the PET Blow molding manufacturing section. 

The holder will be required to:
  • Ensure Quality of Finished Goods as per Expected Quality Norms.
  • Processing parameter setting and trouble setting in m/cs, and submit the production report/Material Yield Report in daily basis.
  • Ensure that all the M/Cs, are running smoothly as per SOP; also monitor the operation of the equipment on an hourly basis.
  • Oversee the Preventive maintenance / breakdown maintenance / Mold maintenance,
  • Manage the mold change over as par the Production Plan.
  • Pass ideas and suggestions to the management and be pro-active in the cost saving Projects in the company.
  • Take responsibility for on job training of new operators and Technicians.
  • Be responsible for section safety and hygiene.
Education and Experience:
 
The ideal candidate should possess:
  • Minimum of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Good knowledge of CIPET for Plastics Processing Technology
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Plastics Industry is a MUST.
