Manufacturing Industries Costing and Budgeting Manager

Our client, one of the leading manufacturing industries in Kenya is looking for a Costing and Budgeting Manager to join their dedicated team.

Responsibilities
  • Setting up a proper Cost Accounting System for the Company and periodic reconciliation with Financial Accounts
  • Periodic Product Costing and help management with proper costs to facilitate the pricing decisions
  • Prepare, implement and follow proper budgeting exercise.
  • Cost Control and regular monitoring with variance analysis with reasons
  • Proper coordination with all departments across the organisation for proper communication and feedback.
  • Demonstrate medium & long term improvement plans
  • Support internal controller’s efforts for implementing and maintaining controls over operations, sales, purchasing, and finance
  • Prepare detailed costing of all products and processes.
  • Lead the cost reduction process
  • Prepare annual budget for the organization in co-ordination with functional heads.
  • Finalize key performance indicators for key areas in the budget for performance measurement in terms of sales, production cost, purchasing and overhead
  • Work with department heads to understand and explain any significant deviation between budget/forecast and actuals.
  • Review expenses/overheads and recommend steps for ensuring control.
  • Reconciles product costing discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Identify the business risks and recommend corrective action.
  • Monitor the revenue and capital budget implementation process;
  • Prepare cost trends / forecast analysis for project costs, highlighting concerns and recommending necessary measures / remedies;
  • Inventory management with quarterly physical stock taking and reconciliation of differences;
  • Preparation of costing and budgeting policies / manual.
Desired Background Skills and Experience
  • B.com, Finance, Accounts or related field.
  • Min. 10 years’ work experience in budgeting and costing in FMCG
  • Must be a CIMA Member
  • Driving License
  • Good Communication Skill
  • Accounting, Corporate Finance
  • Reporting Skills
  • Deadline-Oriented
  • General Math Skills
