Sales Representative Job in Nairobi

Job Title: Sales Representative

Department: 
Sales & Marketing

Reporting To: Business Development Manager
 
Location: Nairobi

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor sales in the market to ensure targets and objectives are met
  • Ensure optimal availability of products over long and short term periods
  • Ensure Route to Market & Territory Management optimization
  • Development of strong customer relationships
  • Achieve by creating and increasing in number; accounts and brand visibility of our company products
  • Ensure cash collection as per agreed terms with customers (work and communicate closely with Finance department)
  • Maintain accurate records of all company sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned vertical
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis on company Channel sales. Check quantities of goods on display and in stock, during customer visit- on store merchandising
  • Maintain accurate market intelligence data, customer detail database, sales visits and logs
  • Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Advise customers on forthcoming product developments and discussing on promotions
  • Report business trends and area performance to the Territory or/ line managers as prescribed
  • Ensure daily, monthly and quarterly reports are done and presented to the territory or/ line managers
Education: Diploma in Business Management / Sales & Marketing or related field.
 
Experience: MUST have 3– 4 years’ experience in FMCG products.
 
Skills
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Should be highly motivated and aggressive
