The Intergovernmental Relation Technical Committee (IGRTC) was established pursuant to the provisions of Section 11 of the Intergovernmental Relations Act, and includes implementing the decisions of the National and County Government Coordinating Summit (Summit) and the Council of Governors (CoG).
 IGRTC has advertised for the following position:

Principal Inter-Governmental Relations Officer (Summit Affairs) 
IGRTC Grade 6 (1 Post)

Salary: Minimum 91,190.00

Job Description
(i) Facilitating activities of the Summit

(ii) Analyzing and researching on issues identified for inclusion into the Agenda for the Summit;

(iii) Rapporteuring in Summit Meetings and compiling Minutes and necessary reports;

(iv) Researching on and recommending action on issues relating to Inter-Governmental relations referred to the Summit by members of the public;

(iii) Participating in the organization of the Summit Meetings;

(iv) Preparing draft Annual Summit Reports for discussion before submission   to the National Assembly, the Senate and County Assemblies;

(v) Preparation of draft quarterly reports for consideration and submission to the Summit;

(vi) Receiving and analyzing progress reports; and

(vii) Preparing the documentation for the Summit Meetings.

Job Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

(i) Served in the Grade of Chief Officer in the Public Service or served in any other reputable organization for at least six (6) years, three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Chief Officer or an equivalent position for a minimum period of three (3) years;

(ii) Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:  Public/Business Administration,   Management, Economics, Project Planning and Management, Leadership and Governance/Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

(iii) Attended a senior management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;

(iv) Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution;

(v) Possess good oral and written communication skills;

(vi) Have a certificate in report writing;

(vii) be of proven integrity, transparency and accountability; and

(viii) Have demonstrated merit and shown ability in discharging the Summit Affairs Function as reflected in work performance and results.
