Job Title: Nation Sales Manager – Solar Products

Job Salary: 300k plus Commissions

Our client is a rapidly growing company committed to providing life-saving, affordable positive impact household energy products. Some of their products include; improved cook stoves, and solar home systems.
 
They seek to hire a Nation Sales Manager who will be responsible for increasing profitable sales revenue nationally through managing team of regional sales managers
 
Nation Sales Manager Job Responsibilities
  • Delivering against Forecast – The first and foremost responsibility will be to motivate and drive the Sales team to deliver against the forecast sales and margin targets in every region, whilst maintaining the agreed cost base.
  • Ensure that the Sales teams are aligned with the Company Mission and Values and understand the financial and impact objectives of the organization and their role in delivering that.
  • Sales Reporting - Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts which accurately forecast future sales and keep the Sales Plan constantly updated to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
  • Lead Generation & Allotment – Develop and manage sales leads and partnerships. Work closely with Business Development team to record, measure the scale, and complete deals.
  • Data Collection – Improve the process of front and back end data collection. Establish high performance targets for collecting expressions of interest, customer registrations, and survey feedback.
  • Work with HR to identify and acquire the best talent possible within the industry and to motivate, reward and develop the existing team in line with industry best practice
  • Facilitate and ensure open, honest communication throughout the Sales team and across the business – ensuring a ‘one team’ approach
  • Sales Techniques – Work closely with sales team members to identify and train consistent sales messaging and techniques across regions. Ensure that all sales agents are equipped with the information, training and the tools they need to succeed.
  • Orders – Work side-by-side with our orders and logistics to ensure customer service as well as efficient internal processes. Work on the back end to strengthen our credit policy and collection terms.
  •  Performance Management – Manage sales reporting, numbers and key performance indicators for the sales team.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies – Develop a short and long term strategy for sales at the organization. Define metrics to measure and advance the overall sales performance. Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Customer & Partner Relationships – Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
Qualifications for the Nation Sales Manager Job
  • Bsc degree in Sales, Business Administration or relevant field
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales management role
  • Minimum of 4 years working experience preferably in a FMCG SACCO, Micro Finance or a fast-growing start up Institution
  • Be commercially astute with a solid understanding of a company’s commercial revenue drivers.
  • Be a self-starter, with very strong organizational and interpersonal skills, self-belief, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure whilst handling multiple work streams.
  • Knowledge of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An ability to understand forecast and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and team management skills.
  • Availability and willingness to travel across the region on a frequent basis.
  • Have a good network of partners, distributors, and sales networks across Kenya.
  • Have experience of promoting household solar, safe water, clean cooking or other life enhancing products to base of pyramid communities.
