Our Client, Sheria Sacco Society Limited, wishes to recruit a competent individual to fill the position of IT Officer

This position will be based at the Head Office, Nairobi
 
Primary Responsibility: Reporting to the ICT Manager, the primary responsibility will be to offer administrative and technical support for smooth functioning of the IT systems, maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis as well as troubleshooting network problems

 
Key Responsibility
  • IT network administration, systems support and customer support
  • Installation, configuration and testing of equipment, defining network policies and procedures, establishing connections and firewalls.
  • Diagnosing and fixing problems or potential problems with the network and its hardware, software and systems.
  • Analyzing network performance and breakdowns of systems and peripheral equipment.
  • Creating and maintaining user connectivity and creating user accounts based on organizations protocol and standards.
  • Computer system maintenance both hardware and software
  • Resolving user problems and offer help desk services and support to computer users
Experience, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing & Switching certification (CCNA) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
  • Two (2) years’ experience in similar position in busy IT department in a financial institution
  • Creative, innovative, excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, able to discharge duties within strict deadlines, under pressure and without supervision
