Export Promotion Council Drivers

Export Promotion Council (EPC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives.

The primary mandate of the Council is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services.

Exports are the primary driver of our national economy and the Council wishes to strengthen and enhance delivery of this mandate by recruiting a high calibre, results oriented, experienced and skilled professional for the following position:

Terms of Employment: Permanent
Job Description
Job descriptions will entail: -
  1. Carrying out minor mechanical adjustments;
  2. Identifying and reporting abnormal functioning of the vehicle;
  3. Taking initiative for security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road and safety of passengers and/ or goods therein;
  4. Maintain vehicle in clean condition; keeping the fuel cards safe;
  5. Maintain work tickets for vehicles assigned;
  6. Monitoring deadlines vehicle insurance;
  7. Reporting of accidents, theft ; and
  8. Verifying and monitoring repairs.
Appointment Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
  1. Certificate in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D or equivalent qualification
  2. Current driving license free from current endorsements and valid for all the classes of vehicles, which the candidate is required to drive;
  3. Occupational Trade test for Driver grade III;
  4. At least four (4) years previous satisfactory driving experience after obtaining the driving license;
  5. Accident free record within the last four (4) years;
  6. First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week at St. Johns Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution; and
  7. A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
  8. Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Only one email will be allowed per applicant.

Candidates must also comply with the provisions of Chapter six of the Kenya Constitution, 2010.

Applicants will be required to attach valid copies of clearance certificates from the following institutions:-
  1. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  2. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  3. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  4. Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department (DCI)
  5. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
