Export Promotion Council E-Trade and ICT Officer

Export Promotion Council (EPC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives.

The primary mandate of the Council is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services.

Exports are the primary driver of our national economy and the Council wishes to strengthen and enhance delivery of this mandate by recruiting a high calibre, results oriented, experienced and skilled professional for the following position:

E-Trade and ICT Officer

1 Position

EPC Grade
Terms of Employment: Permanent
Job Description
This will be the entry grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under direct supervision of a senior officer.

The job descriptions will entail:-
  1. Liaising with users for proper handling of equipment during operations and training of users;
  2. Ensuring ICT spares and consumable are in stock;
  3. Assisting in training on the use of computers, relevant software packages and developing customized applications;
  4. Assisting in updating of websites with trade information and facilitate in retrieval of information from CBIK databases and the internet
  5. Maintaining list of trade information websites for utilization by staff and business community;
  6. Assisting in development of websites for SMEs
Appointment Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology / Computer Science or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  2. Proficiency in computer applications
  3. Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Candidates must also comply with the provisions of Chapter six of the Kenya Constitution, 2010.

Applicants will be required to attach valid copies of clearance certificates from the following institutions:-
  1. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  2. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  3. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  4. Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department (DCI)
  5. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
