Export Promotion Council Research and Advocacy Officers

Export Promotion Council (EPC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives.

The primary mandate of the Council is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services.

Exports are the primary driver of our national economy and the Council wishes to strengthen and enhance delivery of this mandate by recruiting a high calibre, results oriented, experienced and skilled professional for the following position:

Research and Advocacy Officer

2 Positions

EPC Grade
Terms of Employment: Permanent
This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre.An officer at this level will work under direct supervision of a senior officer.
Job Description
  1. Evaluating project proposals;
  2. Designing data collection procedures and instruments;
  3. Conducting research studies in related areas;
  4. Developing research instruments;
  5. Collecting and collating data on research projects;
  6. Writing research reports; and
  7. Maintaining reports on research.
Appointment Specifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
  1. Bachelors degree in any of the following: Economics, Statistics, Planning, Public Policy or any other relevant and equivalent discipline from a recognized institution; and
  2. Proficiency in Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and any other relevant statistical package;
  3. Proficiency in computer applications; and
  4. Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Candidates must also comply with the provisions of Chapter six of the Kenya Constitution, 2010.

Applicants will be required to attach valid copies of clearance certificates from the following institutions:-
  1. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  2. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
  3. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
  4. Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department (DCI)
  5. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
