Marketing Manager (Drinking Water and Alcoholic Beverages) Jobs

Our client, a leading manufacturer, distributor of drinking water and alcoholic beverages in East and central Africa with head office in Nairobi is looking for a dynamic, competent and results oriented person in role of Marketing Manager for the Kenya office

Job Purpose: Manages the overall marketing function of the company, including product development, marketing, communications, and Brand development. 


Develops and approves strategies to enhance market penetration, customer satisfaction and loyalty. 

Communicates with people inside and outside the company to discover what policies, products, and marketing strategies will help it move forward.
 
Makes important decisions that affect the company's direction and its brands
 
Job Roles and Responsibilities
  • Managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department.
  • Developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities.
  • Overseeing the company’s marketing budget.
  • Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
  • Planning and implementing promotional campaigns.
  • Manage and improve lead generation campaigns, measuring results.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity
  • Preparing online and print marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of marketing communications.
  • Creating a wide range of different marketing materials.
  • Working closely with design agencies and assisting with new product launches.
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.
  • Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing.
  • Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels – content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting and brand performance analysis
  • Produce valuable and engaging content for our website and blog that attracts and converts our target groups
Skills and Qualifications
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing management or related course, MBA will be an added advantage, with extensive industry and business experience
  • Use critical thinking to effectively solve problems
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading across channels marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, Web Trends)
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets
  • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Confident and dynamic personality.
  • Strong creative outlook.
  • Minimum 3 years Experience
