Job Title: Managing Director

Migori Water and Sanitation Company (MIWASCO) seeks to recruit the Managing Director for the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities
The required person will be reporting to the Company's Board of Directors and shall have the overall responsibility of planning, directing and controlling the operations of the Company to ensure that it meets the set performance targets and standards in line with the job description.

Interested and qualified candidates should have the following qualifications: -
  1. At least a Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, Water Engineering, Social Sciences or Business Administration from a recognized University.
  2. At least five years’ relevant experience in a senior position
  3. Have a good managerial and leadership skills.
  4. Knowledge in Human Resource, Procurement, Accounting, Financial Management (Business Management for those with Engineering degree) will be of an added advantage.
  5. Should be computer literate
  6. Experience in a Service Utility preferably in the water sector environment will be of an added advantage.
  7. Be member of a Professional body and of good standing.
  8. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
In addition, clearance/compliance certificates from the institutions stated below MUST be availed: Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Certificate of good conduct from Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), Credit Reference Bureau, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Compliance certificate.
The above position is on a three (3) years’ renewable contract subject to satisfactory performance.
