Profile Introduction: Our client, an innovative $30 billion global diversified Technology Company with operations in more than 60 countries that distributes industrial adhesives, Commercial Solutions, Automotive Abrasives,  Spray  Equipment  and  Polishing  products  seeks  to  recruit  a Key Account Executive-Health care.

Based in the Nairobi Office, the successful candidate will cover East Africa handling two main divisions including;
  • Critical & Chronic Care Solutions Divisions (C3SD)
  • Infection Prevention Division (IPD)
Role Summary: The ideal candidate will drive demand and accelerate adoption of the client’s solution in targeted accounts within East Africa, in addition to building strong relationships with strategic customers. 

The goal is to contribute to sustainable growth of the business to achieve long-term success.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Health Related Science(Microbiology, Biochemistry, clinical Medicine/Nursing);
  • 3-5 years’ experience in sales of medical devices or pharmaceutical industry
  • Valid Driver’s license
Job Specification
  • Drive revenue growth top line and bottom line;
  • Achieve sales targets, and provide leadership in developing sales tactics and coordination of efforts between all stake holders in order to fulfill the financial objectives;
  • Build relationship with key personnel in the hospital market. Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users;
  • Offer value added services to enhance the selling process;
  • Generate leads to new business through interactions with end users;
  • Have a general understanding of the negotiation process including: setting a negotiating agenda, seeking a win-win negotiation, and agreeing on what is negotiable;
  • Work on various requests from Key accounts to enhance conversions and accelerated clients solution adoption;
  •  Perform product sampling of equipment or product evaluation;
  • Help in the development of short and long term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration;
  • Develop and implement own business plans and program that increase market coverage;
  • Perform analysis and investigation about product and markets (competitors);
  • Prepare different administrative reports and presentations (oral/written) required for the position;
  • Work with Key Opinion Leaders in coordination with the Technical Services team;
  • Responsible for driving New Product launches that are relevant to the market covered;
  • Engage quality assurance post sale;
  • Respond to customers enquiries related to product performance or enquiries of a technical nature.

  • Savvy traveler in African environment and readiness to travel up to 50+ % ;
  • Strategic while equally strong on execution;
  • Demonstrate a strong functional knowledge of Kenya market;
  • Demonstrable In –depth understanding of key product/applications ;  
  • Passion for the role ,  exceptional drive, creative energy, and outstanding people skills;
  • Highest personal and professional integrity;
  • Competency with computers and technology, including a high level of proficiency in office desktop applications (Word, Excel, Power Point ,SFDC) as well as internet research and email;
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills;
  • Strong organizational skills, including administrative skills;
  • Strong account management and relationship building skills.
