Duties and Responsibilities
a) Assist in receiving sermons for litigation matters and opening court files;

c) Participate in the implementation of the performance management system in the section;

d) Identify renewable energy projects including those sponsored by development partners;

e) Design of projects;

f) Prepare tenders documents;

g) Evaluate tenders and presentation to tender committee;

h) Participate in factory acceptance test, supervision and commissioning;

i) Prepare and review materials specifications;

j) Supervise the construction of Projects;

k) Ensure all contracts awarded in the department are promptly issued to the various contractors;

l) Participate in preparation of pre-feasibility study report, which is presented to management for approval of a full feasibility study;

m) Preparation of department monthly performance reports;

n) Development of budget and preparation of service purchase;

Requirements for appointment

a) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy;

b) Registered with Engineers Board of Kenya as Registered Engineer;

c) Member of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya;

d) At least 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 4 years of supervisory experience;

e) Attended a management course lasting not less than four weeks;
